Batana oil is the oil from the nut of the American oil palm, Elaeis oleifera, pressed by hand by the Miskito of La Mosquitia in Honduras; on the label it reads Elaeis Oleifera Kernel Oil. It is thick, bright orange and semi-solid at room temperature.
