Argan oil is the cold-pressed oil from the kernels of the argan tree, Argania spinosa, which grows only in south-western Morocco; on the label it reads Argania spinosa (Argan) Kernel Oil, cold-pressed and made in Morocco. Cosmetic argan oil is pressed from unroasted kernels.
