Raw shea butter is the unrefined fat from the nuts of the shea tree, Vitellaria paradoxa; on the label it reads Butyrospermum Parkii Butter. Raw means not bleached and not deodorised, so the butter keeps its own off-white to light yellow colour and its nutty smell.
